Here is a little bit of their story so far……
Oliver Carty & Family
Ours is a story that began almost three quarters of a century ago. At the family home in Arcadia, Athlone, Oliver cooked, dressed, weighed and wrapped his first ham and ‘The Carty Way’ was born. Now, as then, it’s a way of doing things that not only embraces time-honoured traditions and an unmistakeable sense of Irish-ness, it also puts innovation, imagination and a passion for quality at the heart of everything we do.
Based in Athlone, County Roscommon, our range of pork and bacon is Bord Bia Quality Assured and also includes 100% Irish turkey medallions and lardons. At Oliver Carty & Family we source a specially selected range of pork exclusively from the Little River Pig Farm, Enniscorthy, Co. Wexford, to create our range of bacon and rashers. We have our own smoke-house, using only use natural woods like beech, oak and cherry and our products are cured using Irish Atlantic Sea Salt harvested on the Beara Peninsula in West Cork.
