Welcome back to our members who joined us for classes over the weekend, a special warm welcome to those children (boys and girls) joining us for the first time, we look forward to seeing you again next week. For the children who come to our weekday classes, we hope to see you all during the week.

A special welcome to Judy, Jenny, Stephanie and Tara who have now joined our coaching team, if you see some fresh young faces in the coaching department, this is them! All four girls have been gymnasts with us since they were 6 years old and have completed their Gymnastics Ireland coaching qualification and mentoring program under the direction of Elisha. All of them are still training and competing with the Club at National Competitions so their knowledge is right up to speed. We are delighted to have them on board and look forward to having them as part of the team for a long time to come.

Our first Term of the new Gymnastics calendar begins on Saturday, 31st August. Full details of the term dates will follow shortly.

We look forward to welcoming our new members and seeing our existing members for another year.

All our classes are fully booked for the new term. We have advertised all available spaces on our website previously and we are not accepting any further members at this time. As replying to individual queries with regards to spaces is time consuming and our Administrator works part time, it is no longer possible to reply to those queries.

We have just 3 spaces remaining for our new term, starting on Thursday 5th September from 8.30-10.00pm.

This is a great way to get fit or improve your fitness levels, whether you’re a beginner or have some experience in gymnastics. The group is small so you won’t get lost in the crowd!

What an amazing weekend we had at the National Series Super Championship in the National Arena. A total of 23 gymnasts from the Club qualified for the Competition from performances in March and May of this year. The top 8 in the country were then selected to compete in each apparatus in their level and age in the National Championship.

All of the girls have been training over the summer holidays for this and their committment is commendable. To compete at the levels some of our gymnasts are now at requires, not just hard work, but also huge dedication on the part of the gymnasts, the coaches, the parents to get them to training and competitions and the volunteers who help out all year as well as at the competitions.

Their performances over the weekend were simply outstanding and we are so proud of each one of them – Tara, Jenny, Judy, Orlaith, Nicola, Aoife, Aimee, Barbara, Caitlin, Áine, Gráinne, Clíodhna, Eleanor, Sive, Niamh, Isla, Ericka, Mya, Aoibhinn, Keela, Kate, Mia and Ciara. The girls home a total of 29 medals, this is truly amazing, 2 years ago we had 2 gymnasts qualifying for this competition, they brought home a gold a silver on the day!

Special thanks to Elisha, Eimear, Aoife and Saoirse for all the hours they spend coaching these girls, they are not just coaches though, they encourage, motivate and inspire them to be the best they can be and to always believe in themselves, of course they have a lot of fun along the way too! They are an amazing team!
