As we come to the end of our very special 30th Anniversary year, we would like to thank everyone who has shared any part of this journey with us. It has been a very memorable year for the Club and sincere gratitude to our Staff, Committee and Volunteers for all their hard work and dedication, not just in 2019 but down through the 30 years since 1989 when the founders had the vision to make this Club a reality. Thank you especially to Jeannette and Pat Campbell for sharing in the celebrations with us. There have been numerous Committees in place since 1989, along with Coaches, each one bringing something different to the Club. We are so proud of the Club and all the achievements to date. Thank you!

We look forward to 2020 and the continued support of all our members, from our cutest 4 year olds right up to adults, the future is looking bright for Athlone Gymnastics Club.

Wishing all our gymnasts, parents, guardians, families, friends, Committee and Coaches a very Happy Christmas, hope you all have time to unwind and enjoy quality time with family and friends at this special time of year.

Our classes are all running up to and including Saturday, 21st December and it’s Christmas Jumper week for all gmnasts and coaches (totally optional)

We are closed for all regular classes from Sunday, 22nd December to Friday, 3rd January 2020 (inclusive). Normal classes resume from week beginning 4th January 2020.

A quick reminder of a few things that are happening over the next while :-

• Christmas Camps – We still have a limited number of spaces in our Christmas Camp on 30th and 31st December.
• New Year’s Raffle – Tickets are now on sale at class times in the gym, on our Website and on our Facebook Page for our Mega Draw which will be held on 3rd January 2020. Great prizes to be won – €500 Travel voucher, 2 x €100 One 4 All Vouchers, Afternoon Tea & Bubbly in the Wineport Lodge, Family Meal in the Harvest Cafe and a Hamper. Tickets €10/5 for €40 – Your support would be greatly appreciated.
• Art Competition – “Friendship through the Years” is the theme for our Art Competition. Closing Date 11th January 2020. Age Categories – U6, U8, U10, U12 and O12. Please print your child’s name, age and date of birth on the back of each entry. All entries to be left into the box provided in the gym foyer. Children can enter as often as they like. Prizes for the winners in each age category.

We are currently running an Art Competition for our gymnasts. The theme of the Competition is “Friendship through the Years”, in recongnition of our 30th Anniversary! We look forward to seeing the wonderful creativity and imagination at work.

The Age categories are U8, U10, U12 and O12, with a special U6 category! Closing date 11th January 2020.

N.B. Please make sure you print your name, age and date of birth on the back of your artwork and leave it into the designated box on the table in the Gym Foyer before the deadline.

All our spaces for new members (girls) have been filled in Saturday afternoon classes and no further spaces will be available for Term 2. We will not be replying to individual queries on this.

There are still spaces available in our Teen Class (Age 13-16) and our Adult Classs (18+)

There are a very limited number of spaces available for New Members in Term 2 in the following classes on Saturday afternoons, starting 30th November. Places are not secured until you have registered and made full payment through the link below and have received a receipt :

All places are on a first come basis only, once the spaces are gone, there is nothing further we can do at this time! Please note that we no longer keep a waiting list for future spaces.

We have a very limited number of spaces available in our Teen fitness and gymnastics class. The class runs on a Friday evening from 6 to 8.00pm for a 12 week term starting on 6th December 2019.

No previous gymnastics experience is necessary for this class.

We have a very small number of places available in our adult fitness class (from age 18 upwards) in Term 2 starting on Thursday, 5th December for a 12 week term, running from 8.30-10.00pm. Please note: this is the only time we run this class.

This class is suitable for beginners as well as those with previous gymnastics experience.
