Here’s to 2021 – good health, happiness and prosperity to all our members and their families – from the Coaches, Management and Committee
We would like to take this opportunity to wish all our staff, gymnasts, their families and wider gymnastics community the very best Christmas ever and good health and happiness in 2021.
In a year that has been like no other, we are grateful for so many things, one of which is the support and kindness shown to us and our Club by parents and gymnasts, in particular since 12th March. We know it has been a tough year for many families and businesses. Safe to say, we are looking forward to putting 2020 behind us and moving into 2021 with hope and positivity in our hearts.
Our office will be closed for the next 2 weeks and any queries will be replied to once we reopen. We hope to resume classes from Tuesday, 5th January, unless otherwise advised.
Stay safe and have a wonderful time.

Our gym will be closed from Monday, 21st December to Monday, 4th January 2021 inclusive, for the Christmas break. We hope to reopen again on Tuesday, 5th January, depending on the level of restrictions at that time.
This week is Christmas theme week and we would love if children could wear a Christmas jumper/hat/socks/hair bobbin, etc., whatever they have at home, we look forward to seeing everyone get into the festive mode!
Thank you to all who registered their child on our waiting list yesterday. We were completely blown away by the level of interest, it was well in excess of what we anticipated. We had a cut-off point and we reached it far quicker than we could ever have expected. We realise a lot of people are still disappointed but we hope to reopen the list again.
Good news – Our Club waiting list is now OPEN
To add your child to the waiting list, please use the link below.

Please note : your child must be 6+ to be added to the list.

Wishing all our members a very Happy Halloween and even though Trick or Treat is on hold this year, there’s still lots of fun to be had with pumpkin carving, spooky games and tricks. We’d love to see some photos of your Halloween costumes and pumpkin creations or decorations. Looking forward to seeing you all soon!
With all of our classes now back in action, we would like to remind parents when their child should NOT attend training in the gym :-
We are asking parents to please be vigilant and follow the HSE and public health advice at all times. It is the responsibility of parents/guardians to accurately complete the self-screen form before each training session, you have a duty of care to our staff and our members and we, in turn, have a duty of care to each child. Please consider the wider community and let’s all make a special effort to keep our gym Covid free!
We would like to extend a very warm welcome back to all our gymnasts who will be joining us over the next few weeks. It’s been a long time ……………….
As we embark on a new season, our Advanced Coach Aoife has kindly designed a poster of the Values that we hold in the Club. Gymnastics is much more than just a sport! As the gymnasts return they will see these throughout the gym and coaches will be chatting to them during the year about the importance of each one of them.

Our office will be closed next week and will reopen on Monday, 31st August.
If you have any queries, please email administrator@athlonegymnasticsclub.ie and they will be dealt upon return.

A sincere ‘Thank You’ to our members who returned to Summer Training or Summer Camps since we reopened on 29th June.
We were delighted to see so many of our gymnasts back in action. To all our amazing, happy, funny and wonderful gymnasts, you are what our club is all about!
A very special word of thanks to parents for believing in us and trusting us in these uncertain times, we hope the gymnasts had the best fun despite the many, many times they were asked to sanitise their hands and feet!! Thanks for your co-operation and compliance with the new regulations we have had to put in place to ensure we all stay safe.
Our staff have worked very hard over the past 8 weeks and we are extremely grateful to our coaches for their dedication and commitment to the sport and the club.
We are taking a break from all activities for now in preparation for our restart to weekly classes. Our office is closed next week but we will be back on 31st August.
We hope to resume weekly classes from early September, in line with public health advice at that time, and provisional dates and times will be communicated to you shortly by text message.
In the meantime, enjoy the remainder of the Summer, stay safe and we look forward to seeing you all soon.
